Sigmafine Application in SP Chemicals – Taixing Plant

SP Chemicals is a wholly owned subsidiary of Singapore Chemicals Co. Ltd. and was established in December 1995 in China. SP Chemicals produces more than 2 M tonnes of chlor-alkali and related downstream products, making the Jangsu Province plant one of the largest facilities in China. The site has the PI System as its data infrastructure and is currently working with OSIsoft compatible products like Sigmafine to improve the quality of the material balance of the production plant. Pimsoft’s partner in China, Keyman Technologies is using Sigmafine for production accounting & inventory management within the context of a pilot project. The pilot was successful and provided early outcomes by identifying the main reason for the major discrepancies among the data thus providing the foundation for a future expansion to the rest of the facility.
