Sigmafine, A Reconcilliation Journey – ORPIC

ORPIC is the largest Omani integrated refinery and petrochemical industrial company, supplying fuel and chemicals to domestic and international market. ORPIC journey with Sigmafine started in 2013 promoting a huge change in the accounting methodology, helping the organization to switch from conventional way of accounting (stock material balance in Excel sheets) to a standardized one. Sigmafine introduced in ORPIC a work flow methodology of automated data collection, gross error detection and correction, data reconciliation and data publishing to ERP. The usage of Sigmafine along the years helped improving measurements, reduced losses, promoted fuel optimization and yield accounting. The journey is still going on following the growth of ORPIC, increasing even more the value that Sigmafine can provide.

Zainab has worked in Oil and gas industrial in which she has 8 years’ experience in refineries and petrochemical plants. Zainab provide the Reconciliation of field data (raw data) to validate and authenticate in order to balance oil inputs for operating assets to support business decisions and financial reporting. Zainab has worked as well in Technical Support function as Process Engineer, supporting the technical solutions for the refineries process. Zainab graduated as a chemical engineer from Sultan Qaboos University – Oman.
